Vintage Persian Hamadan Rug handmade suzani the colours have already mellowedThe Hamadan region of western Iran is home to over 1,500 weaving villages, each with their own patterns, their own colour sensibility, and their own interpretation of the craft. No central workshop, no shared pattern book. What gets called a Hamadan rug is actually the product of hundreds of distinct communities, which is why these rugs have a character that more uniform weaving traditions simply cannot replicate. This rug is hand knotted from hand
