Vintage Persian Hossainabad Rug hamadan-rug Size: 306 x 133 cmThis rug comes from Hossainabad, a weaving village in the Hamadan province of western Iran. Like the broader Hamadan tradition it sits within, Hossainabad rugs were made by individual weavers working from their own homes, each piece shaped by the hands and sensibility of a single person rather than a workshop floor. This rug is hand knotted from wool on a cotton foundation, with a design that balances tribal boldness with classical Persian structure.
