Portrait of Tattooed Woman, 1907 Size:16" x 16" Photographed on a glass negativePortrait of a woman, M. Stevens Wagner, showing images tattooed or painted on her upper body. Photographed by The Plaza Gallery, Los Angeles, CA, 1907. Summary: Photograph shows a half length portrait of a woman with tatooes or body paint covering her arms and chest. I believe she is the wife of famous Bowery tattoo artist Charles Wagner who registered a patent for a tattoo machine in 1904.
